Vehicle tires are replaces on a regular basis, and the discarded tires pose an ever increasing waste problem. Tires are discarded everywhere across Sierra Leone, a country without a proper waste management system. PROcycling the tires in transforms discarded tires into beautiful pieces of FURNItires, made in Sierra Leone.
COMFORTABLE.
For this living room set we up cycled used corduroy pants, which we cut into pieces in order to reassemble them into larger pieces of upholstery fabric. Corduroy is soft, yet very durable and thus a perfect cover for chairs and sofas. The coffee table features the original tire rim, and makes a unique side table. The chair as well as the coffee table have rolls, so moving them around the room is effortless and fun.

Here we acquired second hand jeans and reassembled them, then dyed them according to the colors of the conference and upholstered the chairs with the up cycled jeans fabric. according to the gins with an idea. By up cycling durable second hand fabrics and tires to create these unique pieces of FURNI°TIRES, we prevent the fashion and tire waste from going to landfills.
